Poetry (Twenty nine days)

Twenty nine days

Let’s start from the beginning, where lies did lie,

About my individuality, I didn’t comply,

Heartily attached, our souls did tie,

Secrets shared fabulously, beneath the sky.

We cried, we waited, patiently in stride,

But amidst it all, a deceit did hide,

On July’s fifteenth, truth did confide,

In thoughts, in tears, in prayers, I cried.

Confusion lingers, will you stay or depart?

On that night, happiness found its start,

You left, yet joy filled my heart,

Oddly attached, we were, from the start.

Twenty-nine days, in anonymity we danced,

Now together, in love entranced,

Confessions flowed, memories enhanced,

Happy and content, our hearts advanced.

Far apart, yet yearning for near,

Your presence, my solace, my cheer,

Close to my heart, in distance, so clear,

In darkness and light, your essence, my dear.

You may wonder why these words I extend,

You hold significance, no Amazon to send,

Not with teary eyes, but sincerity, I blend,

For showing a side, steadfast, a true friend.

Dear love, far away I may be,

Unable to wish as I long to decree,

But with pen and paper, and thoughts of thee,

I express my intimacy, my love’s decree.

Accept this birthday wish, a present so grand,

Know that in my heart, forever you stand,

You have me, in every land,

In the end, it’s love’s enduring band.
