Introduction: How the Self-Publishing Community Works

The Safar-e-Adab Self-Publishing Community is designed to give writers a shared space to write, learn, and publish without needing technical knowledge or prior publishing experience.

👉 All applicants, without any selection, will receive access to a dedicated Discord category, and channel for the Self-Publishing Community.
This space is meant for:

• Writing discussions
• Peer reading and feedback
• File sharing with other writers and readers

No selection is required to join the Discord community.

👉 Selected applicants, however, will additionally receive temporary backend access to the Safar-e-Adab Publications website.

What does “backend access” mean?

Backend access simply means access to the website’s dashboard the behind-the-scenes area from where content is published.
From this dashboard, selected writers will be able to:

• Publish their work on the website without any coding.

To support writers who are not tech-savvy:

• Safar-e-Adab will provide step-by-step tutorials on our official YouTube channel
• These tutorials will guide writers on:
  • Creating a publish-ready PDF
  • Uploading and publishing their work through the dashboard

Backend access is granted through a rotational selection system, meaning:

• Access is given for a limited period
• New writers are selected in each round
• This allows as many writers as possible to publish their work over time

1. Purpose of the Self-Publishing Community

The Self-Publishing Community is a rotational, limited-access program that allows selected writers to publish their own work on the Safar-e-Adab Publications website using temporary backend access.

Safar-e-Adab provides:

• Platform access
• Visibility
• Official marketing support

Safar-e-Adab does not provide editorial, writing, or proofreading services under this program.

2. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Submit original work that they fully own the rights to
• Agree to publish under Safar-e-Adab’s platform rules
• Be capable of independently creating a publish-ready PDF
• Follow community and platform guidelines

Allowed:

• Previously published online or offline works ✔
• Any genre ✔

Not allowed:

• Plagiarized content ❌
• Content copied, translated, or adapted without rights ❌
• Vulgar or Bold content ❌

Safar-e-Adab reserves the right to reject or remove content that violates platform policies.

3. Selection Process For Backend Access

• Applications are collected via Google Forms.
• You can apply whenever you want, but selection rounds will take place for a limited duration.
• Selection is limited and rotational.
• Not all applicants will be selected in every round, but not selected in a round doesn’t mean you got rejected. It means you only have to wait for another selection round.
• Selection in one round does not guarantee selection in future rounds.
• Selection is highly based on the time of your application. For example: A submitted an application on 3rd Feb 2026, and B submitted an application on 5th Feb 2026. While selecting applicants, if A and B both qualify the criteria of selection, we’d select A first because A applied before B.

Selection decisions are final.

4. Backend Access Rules (VERY IMPORTANT)

Selected writers will receive temporary backend access to publish their own work.

Access Includes:

• Creating and publishing their own novel/story posts
• Uploading Cover Images
• Editing only their own content

Access Does NOT Include:

• Editing or deleting other writers’ content
• Uploading PDF
• Access to website settings
• Deleting already published posts

Duration:

• Backend access is granted for a limited time which is 30 days.
• Once access expires, editing rights are removed.

📌 Published content remains live on the website even after access expires.

5. Publishing Limits

• Writers may publish two (2) work (novel, short story, novelette, any) per access period.
• Additional works require re-selection in a future round.
• 10 writers will be selected for Backend access per round initially.

6. Content Identification & Reader Transparency

All works published under the Self-Publishing Community:

• Will be clearly labeled as “Self-Published”
• Will appear in a dedicated section on the website

7. Discord Community Access

All applicants will receive access to a Self-Publishing Community Discord category and it’s channel for:

• Text discussion
• File sharing (PDFs)
• Peer reading and feedback

Roles will be assigned based on status:

• Applicant
• Active Self-Publishing Writer
• Alumni

Discord access does not guarantee website publishing access.

8. Marketing & Promotion

All novels published through the Self-Publishing Community:

• Will be promoted by Safar-e-Adab’s official marketing team
• Will receive the same social media visibility as other published works

9. Responsibility & Disclaimer

• Safar-e-Adab does not take responsibility for the content quality, accuracy, or opinions expressed in self-published works.
• Full content responsibility lies with the author.

10. Misuse & Violations

Immediate removal and possible permanent ban may occur in cases of:

• Plagiarism
• Abuse of backend access
• Violation of platform or community rules
• Publication of any vulgar or bold content

11. How To Apply

1. You need to submit an application to apply for SPC. Once you apply, you will get discord access via email which will lead you to SPC special channels instantly.

12. Important

• Make sure you have a discord account before you apply
• Join our discord server through the link sent to you via email after you submit the application. You will get instant access to SPC channels with special permissions. If you use any other link, you might not get the special permissions as a part of Self-Publishing Community.
  If the link you received via email is not working, click here to let us know. We will send you another link to join.
• If you face any issue, find the writers support channel in the server, and open a ticket. Our support team will make sure to help you further. Not sure how to open a support ticket? Click here to watch the tutorial.
• You will find a Self Publishing Community and Promotional Lines sheet in the #sheets-and-links channel under Self Publishing Community Category in our Public Discord Server. These sheets will help you in finding the status of your application, and submitting promotional scenes of your works for our marketing team to promote your stories published on our platform.
